mikehiow 0 Posted March 14, 2009 Ok, I'd like to lower my VR6 (on a budget) but would like some information first. I don't want to go stupidly low, just enough to make it look nicer (with standard speedlines), and stiffen things up a little bit. Would springs alone be suitable, do I need to find something specific for the VR6? I don't want any thing that will take an adverse effect on handling etc. Any help would be much appreciated. Leonard 0 Posted March 14, 2009 You could just fit lowering springs. Depends how tired your std dampers are though really :?
Critical_Mass 10 Posted March 14, 2009 If you only want to lower it a bit say 40mm, shocks and springs are probably your best bet. Below pic 40mm drop all round with shocks and springs I will have a set of koni shocks and H&R springs for sale soon

StuartFZR400 0 Posted March 19, 2009 this is discussed to death on here; try skimming down the Drivechain page, 1 & 2 (no further), and you'll find similar threads. Also see the Sticky. Basically if you go dropping it, and buy hte proper springs, it should be fine. However the shocks will have to work harder, and a standard shock will last less time and maybe not do the full job, so best to get sport shocks to match too; hence people buy kits or recommended partnerships.
