F1 Season Explained 2009

Recommended Posts

Isn't it officially entered as Honda already? Hence the Brawn name not really meaning a lot.

I know very little about F1, just what I pick up here and there, I have a colleague who is a marshall in his spare time and will be working at Melbourne, as well as meeting the fella from Mclaren.

Personally, I find F1 dull, and would rather be seeing how long it takes me to burn my scrotum on a candle than watching the "sport".

To Quote Ray from the Mary Whitehouse experience

"Oh what a personal Disaster!"

Usual "we're doing this, Impliment, then climb down!" from the FIA...

Stewards have passed all 3 team's cars to race this weekend...

Despite protests by...

Redbull

Renault

BMW/Sauber

Ferrari (quel surprise!)

So It looks like all results from Aus and Malaysia will be up in the air until a meeting in Paris... AGAIN! :brickwall:

Well it was almost inevitable that with the huge rule changes there would be some significant pram-shaking from anyone who came out of design and realised they'd missed a trick or two. Back in the 1960s & 1970s whenever a big technical or design leap was invented everyone would be pissed off about it but accept that someone else had come up with a smart idea and just try and catch up as soon as they could. These days they just phone thier lawyers and protest.

Should be a good race this weekend. Will be interesting to see if the Brawn car really has got the minerals it's been promising in testing.

What time's the replay?

Going to miss some of it as I'll be en-route to the POd! Hopefully they'll show it in the bar as they did with Brit GP and the Summer Fest!

Best Quote from BBC's website:

The McLarens of Lewis Hamilton and Heikki Kovalainen look about as threatening as a tortoise in a sandpit at the moment
PMSL!

GO ON BRAUN!

Also so nice to see Williams making a recovery as well after years in the doldrums...

IF today's practice is anything to go by, could be a very good year for F1!

What have Braun done... entered Flavio's hair curlers?

No-one loves a smart arse!

Flav's curlers would probably be quicker than the Renaults!

Who will be first to fit one of these Kinetic Energy Revovery systems in their Corrado - apparently adds 80bhp for 7 seconds a lap

...not me, as it also adds around 30kg to the cars weight for it's lifetime :nono:
