Magnex side to side movement - FIXED

Had my Magnex full system fitted today but have noticed the rear box has quite a bit of side to side movement. It doesn't take much effort to move it half an inch each side, then not much more to push it against the bumper cutout. The rubber hanger does seem to be quite soft but it's certainly not knackered. It's a 2nd hand system but is in great condition.

 

Anyone else have this problem or is it normal? Was thinking of getting a harder rubber hanger.

Doesn't sound quite right mate. It shouldn't be able to touch the bumper surely??

I have this issue with my supersprint system on my VR. I think the main problem is (for me at least) is that the tail pipe coming out of the back box doesnt come out horizontal, but on an angle. Thus come close to the bumper. This doesnt explain the movement i also have. Can you buy stiffer rubber exhaust hangers?

i bought mine new,about 6 months ago, mine hardly moves !

try a stiffer rubber hanger on the rear

pretty sure you can get polyurethane exhaust hangers, do a search.

Got it sorted today.

 

Picked up a rubber hanger from Halfords, the hole in 1 end need enlarging which wasn't a problem. The problem was getting it to fit in such a confined space, had to whip the bumper off to do it. Then one of the bumper bolts wanted to go back in at an angle, anyway all done now ready for the AGM tomorrow.
