Joe M 0 Posted April 11, 2009 Hi, ive just replaced the alternator in my vr6, the one that came out was a Valeo 90A, but the one ive been supplied with (cheap, used) is a Bosch 70A. WIll that be ok? It fitted in no problems and the battery now seems to be charging fine.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted April 11, 2009 VR6s with no AC and cloth seats came with a 70A as standard, so should be fine.
Mawrick 0 Posted April 11, 2009 You sure they cam with 70A???.. IIRC the one I have in my Passat VR6 is 120Amp, and that doesn't have AC or anything....

Im not worried then, its not like I have a big stereo or anything anyway.
