Cracked Steering Wheel

Recommended Posts

Is there any stuff I can buy to sort this? My Audis been sat on my mates land for the last 4-5 months and i've just gone and picked it up to find that the leather on the steering wheel has cracked :|

Any tips?

How bad is it matey? You could try something like the Glipton (maybe with an 'e' on the end) leather cleaner and conditioner to try and soften it down a bit. Or do you think you need a specialist product to try and seal/cover the cracks over?

It's not toooooo bad, hopefully it won't need any more than a good going over with some decent treatment stuff - i'll have a look for 'Glipton' , have you used it yourself? The cracks are fairly small, just from being sat in direct sunlight for too long I assume.

If all else fails i'll go for one of these :camp:

Lol!!

Yep, I've used the Glipton stuff before and got some very good results from it - plus it actually smells like leather so you get a decent smell rather than it smelling like a whore's handbag! :camp:

if youve got other leathers in the car too then id recommened paying furnitureclinic a visit, they are online and do a leather first aid kit which cleaned up my recaros amazingly well. i know kadvr6 swears by thier stuff and after using it once i can see why.. give that a go buddy as its a bit more intense then the gliptone stuff..
