You can find the exact build date of your car from the chassis using ELSAWIN but did you know VW will send you a birth certificate? :lol:

Whats the difference between the vehicle id number and the engine number??

Vehicle id is the Chassis No, ie WVWZZZ50Z.K......

 

Engine no is the block no for the engine, ie 9A.... for a 2.0 16v KR.... for a 1.8 16v PG.... for a G60, don't know what the VR6 or 2.0 8v start with
