Swompy 0 Posted May 15, 2009 Was driving home when all of a sudden the water temp/level light started flashing. Pulled over and looked at the eninge and I had hardly any water in it, the top of the engine water bottle was loose so all the water was escaping out of it. Havnt a clue how this happened :cuckoo: :confused4: Luckly there was a garage just down the road, so got some water and topped it back up. strange Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

davidwort 0 Posted May 15, 2009 make sure it's full of coolant run it up to temp, if the radiator is not blocked and the stat opens fine and you get hot water running round the radiator and through the matrix for heating the inside of the car, then it could be just the expansion tank cap, they can fail and give symptoms a bit like a blown headgasket.
