aide 0 Posted May 19, 2009 just tried to order the inner and outer bearings which sit in the block for the intermediate oil shaft drive, but local VW dealer says they're not indicated separately, but that they *might* come with complete new shaft anyone ordered/ replaced these before on their valvers, got a part nr, or do i have to go to a specialist bearing place? mine are decaying badly... cheers
davidwort 0 Posted May 19, 2009 I'd contact one of the VW specialists and see if they can source them, they don't seem to appear on ETKA though. int-shaft.gif[/attachment:316bru15]

VEEDUBBED 0 Posted June 5, 2009 I just changed the front(bigger) bearing on my recently acquired 9A engine,i had a spare G60 block so i just punched out the old 1 and tapped back the G60 bearing. Remeber to align the oil feed hole!,no need for any press but i reckon the inner shell would be a bitch to remove without Vw tools...
aide 0 Posted June 5, 2009 aye cheers veedubbed, have borrowed an old sawn oil drive to get the outer bearing in and found a shop to do the inner bearing, they're going to make a mandrel up for it :salute: not the sort of thing you wanna discover needs changing when the engines back in the motor :D
