Topaz2008 0 Posted June 1, 2009 Simple problem, my G60 has a squeak from its L/H front wheel. The car has had a new hub/bearing Any ideas?????
ProdigalSon 1 Posted June 23, 2009 This may sound daft, but see if it is as simple as the stone shield on the back of the brake disk catching and making a chirp/squeak noise... I fixed this in about 4 seconds when it happened on my car, the squeak was more noticeable when going round a corner, and it definitely occurred once per wheel revolution. If you've had the wheels off, one of the stone shields may have got a bit bent and be catching on something (disk/rim). HTH
Topaz2008 0 Posted June 24, 2009 All fixed now, it was one of the pads not correctly seated
ProdigalSon 1 Posted June 26, 2009 Good. The brake pads would've been my second suggestion, ahem...
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 26, 2009 You can also get a squeak from the CV boot pleats rubbing together :D Happens more on MK4s though, but have seen it on a rado once or twice.
