20v turbo alternator wiring help

Recommended Posts

Forgot to connect the little blue wire  now my battery goes flat

For the 20v turbo alternator, does anybody know of which of the 2 pins on the multiplug (highlighted below) this is connected to? as I don't have the connector.

cheers dude, what is this thermo switch you speak of? :D

If you had the 16v lump it was mounted via one of the rocker cover bolts to a little stubby sensor, located on the corner of the rocker cover near the alternator, had a single wire connector. Basically just turned on the fans (separate to the 3 pin switch in the rad) after ignition was turned off to help keep all the bits and bobs cool.

Basically I was looking to change mine for the g60 stubby sensor which requires the 'engine head' temp to be 90c or below.

Use one of the cam cover bolts to hold the bracket, nearest to the original position I guess. According to vagcat its on the back of the head on the G60.
