Is it much stress on the "cup" under the front engine mount

Recommended Posts

Anyone know if there is much "stress" on the bolts that holds that "rubber-ball" thingy inside the cup under the front engine mount?.

When taking mine of, one of the bolts broke (noticed a small "crack" going inside the bolt), and therefor I have to weld in a new one, so I'm just wondering if there is much force being put down on the cup itself, or if it would also be safe to drive only with 2 bolts in place?.

from takig mine off, i would say that there would be little/no stress on the actual cap itself...

it's the crossmember itself that takes all the strain, the cap is there just as a precautionary mesaure from what i could see...

i's the main big bolt going up through the centre of the engine mount that you want to worry about.

don't take it s gospe - but personally i can't see any problems wih driving it like that

Ok, gona get it fixed by welding in a new bolt, but was just wondering if that would be ok, and I guess it should be....:)
