hodaz 0 Posted August 6, 2009 My car is a 1994 VR, and it has the early style "wire" MAF? I only realised this as mine was potentially in need of changing, I bought a one of the forum, it said for a late car, but have only now realised it doesnt fit? Has my car had a different engine fitted at some point? :cuckoo: I hope not
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted August 6, 2009 the early mafs are in an alloy housing and the later ones in a smaller black plastic housing.

Toad 0 Posted August 6, 2009 Mine in definately an early one then, strange as my Corrado is 94 The earlier type MAF was used until quite late. The very early VR6s had distributors and 6 pin MAFs, the later ones had coilpacks and initially 6 pin MAFs, before moving onto the 4 pin MAF.
hodaz 0 Posted August 6, 2009 Thanks for clearing that up. Was getting confused as the Euro Car Parts lists the later style MAF as 93 on, which is obviously incorrect (well I know now anyway)
