Swompy 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Just wondering if there is any reason why I couldnt drill a few holes in this to get some cold air into the engine bay It the little plastic flap that extends from the side of the rad behind the grill.
kee 0 Posted August 8, 2009 i have installed an 80mm forced air pipe direct into my air box from here and ive never had any problems. Its originally to direct as much air as poss to the radiator i believe. 8)
Swompy 0 Posted August 8, 2009 I thought about removing it but couldnt work out how to and I think if i put some holes in it i wouldnt have to worry about biggish stones flying through into the engine bay
CazzaVR 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Jake, put a cold air feed to the airbox- remove the snorkel first.
Yandards 0 Posted August 8, 2009 Valvers should not get massive heat in the engine bay compared to the VRs or G60s. The reason the ducting is there is to guide air through the radiator, if you drill through it then you may well loose some cooling instead of gain it!
