Is the Metal head gasket for the VR6 available from VW?

Anyone know if the "uprated" metal (mk4?) head gaskets are available directly from Volkswagen?, or is it only made by 3'rd party suppliers?.

 

If available, what would be the VW number for the correct one?

They are available from VW, can't remember the part number, but will see if I can find it in my paperwork.

They were a Sharan part weren't they? (or am I dreaming that?)

Just digging this thread up again as I need to do the head gasket on my road going VR and I managed to find the part number for the metal headgasket.

 

For referance the part number for the metal headgasket is 021 103 383 N
