Supercharged 2 Posted September 12, 2009 Issam, good to see you on here! So it's an ABA head with an AZG manifold on a G60 block? Any other engine parts uprated? What sort of power will this make compared to the standard PG lump?
INA 0 Posted September 12, 2009 Hey Mate, Thanks for having me. PG bottom end + ABA crossflow head + AZG/AEG intake manifold. One of the biggest advantages of the crossflow head is the lack of head soak in the inlet manifold. Not sure how much more power will be had but I am willing to throw it on the engine dyno to find out. bristolbaron 10 Posted September 13, 2009 looks interesting.. is everything pretty much plug and play with this set up or is there welding etc involved? it looks pretty much factory from there. will be keeping an eye on this, please keep us up to date with progress! cheers, Baz. Yandards 0 Posted September 13, 2009 Interesting and some very tidy work. How's the alternator clearance to the inlet manifold when its mounted in the original factory location? Be interesting to see the numbers on this on a dyno, especially as the intake runners are very long compared to the ideal for an FI setup.
INA 0 Posted September 13, 2009 will probably need to get another alternator in there or rear mount it for the AC fans.
Corrado_Addict 0 Posted September 15, 2009 Shall follow this one with greeeat interest. Looks like an impressive setup too! Should be good to see what sort of power it makes, is the charger going to be standard pulley or smaller? :)
INA 0 Posted September 16, 2009 No welding involved... I like making products that people can bolt on in there garage.Welding is not something you can do in your garage  As for the alternator it will be mounted below the charger so if you want AC then expect to rear mount the alternator. Supercharged 2 Posted September 16, 2009 Be interested to see what tensioning system you use - ABF maybe?
INA 0 Posted September 22, 2009 going to be using a custom tensioner on this project
Edition 1 0 Posted October 6, 2009 Coincidentally on the same subject I thought this may be of interest, just in case any of you guys have not seen this over on Dubforce. http://www.dubforce.net/forums/index.ph ... opic=18157
