aussieveedub 0 Posted September 30, 2009 Hi i am looking for help as i have just imported a corrado G60 88 to Australia well its on the ship still Nov and the guy who done all the leg work buying it said it kept getting a flat battery he later noticed the fan remained on,i know nothing about cars but do have a VW specialist nearby but i need to get parts sent over before it arrives.Any tips as he said it could be the fan switch.Cheers Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

Jay23Sx 0 Posted September 30, 2009 It's more likely to be the fan run on switch, if the cable is earthing against the block (well, anything really) or the switch is faulty then the fan will stay on. This is the sensor that keeps the fan running when you switch the engine off, for up to 10 minutes I believe, to stop the fuel evaporating in the fuel lines.
