Toad 0 Posted October 7, 2009 Had a phone call tonight from a guy who is having problems with a 1.8T converted Mk3, he can't get it to start, the problem being that the transponder in the key isn't coded to the ECU. I have got VAG COM, but only the shareware version, which I know won't do it, but can anyone explain how I would code the key to the ECU with VAG COM? You need the SKC from VAG to code the ECU, and they won't give it to you :mad2: There are apparently programs that can extract the SKC from the ECU, but I've not found one that works yet...
