come on all you bhp and petrol headz HELP ME

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have recently brought a 2 L, 16V,yellow Corrado ,G Reg,it has been converted by DUB SPORT and had loads of work done to it before i got it.

The guy who owned it previously had converted it, from a 16V injection, to non injection twin 45`s carburator system(WEBBER) with high lift cams and a stage 3 head and full stainless steel performance exhaust he spent £3000 on it

The only problem with the car was that when the guy fitted the stereo, it shorted a wire out and burnt all the dash, wiring loom the lot.

I am interested in finding anyone which has managed to convert a 16v Corrado, to a twin 45 spec successfully,

And even more interested if you know what bhp to expect hmmmmmmm

Aahhh the one from Ebay. That looked nice apart from the fire damage. Glad to see it's going to be saved and not broken for spares. Sorry I'm no help with the carbs.

spoke to the owner who had bought it for himself as a project and persuaded him to sell it me ..........couldn`t belive my luck when he said he had got all the parts that was needed to restore it to its former glory apart from head liner and the electric motor for the sun roof buzzinfor less than £900 and number plate is G40??? which is worth £750 on its own

I've got an engine layed up for a winter transplant with carbs, spec is very similar to yours. The block was a 1.8 overbored to just under 2.0l and with bottom end and head work, and a pair of high lift cams made 198bhp on a rolling road.

If yours is the 2.0l block I think it has a longer stroke and will create a little more power than mine, as soon as possible I'll check the spec in full and post it up for you to compare, for now here's some pics of how it looks.
