central locking absolutly dead!

Recommended Posts

hi, my 94' vr6 rado has a toad alarm on it but the central locking has stopped working... so it does not unlock from any of the doors or with the key fob!! all fuses seem ok and i read about the common prob with the fuse blowing and cutting the windows with the locking... not that... very strange, the pump is making no noise...

what should i check first?

pump? how?

could it be to do with the sensors on the door handels??

any ideas?

thanks ppl :D

pump is in the boot above the tank. pumps new are very expensive. try blowing down the pipes once you got the pump out to check if its anything else. I was ready to replace mine but it went alright again, odd

The best advice I can give you is pay a decent auto leccy to come have a look at it.

I spent 2 years trying to sort mine, replacing allsorts and dismantling everything LOL

Auto leccy had it sorted in 2 hours for £100 and it was a broken wire behind the dash which i would never have found! For the basic checks search my posts for central locking, be PLENTY of info in there
