lockdown 0 Posted October 22, 2009 Sorry for the assault of threads today. If managed to set the head up at tdc off the car but the bottom end isn't. Where are the timing marks on a kr for the bottom end? Got the socket on the end of the crank pulley but no ideas where to move it to. Please help Thanks again :D
Toad 0 Posted October 22, 2009 There is a mark on the aux belt pulley on the crank which lines up with a moulding mark on the plastic cover. This has probably come up before, have you tried a search? Edit, loads of information here

lockdown 0 Posted October 22, 2009 Am I right in thinking that when piston 1 as at the very top of its stroke, this is top dead centre?
Wullie 1 Posted October 22, 2009 You are right about top dead centre. On the gearbox on between the slave cylinder and the engine block there is an oval shaped rubber bung which, when removed will allow you to see the timing marks on the flywheel.
