Serial 0 Posted December 3, 2009 You could wrap them in self-amalgamating tape - it looks smart & neat and is heatproof to a degree. The main benefit is it doesn't deteriorate into a horrible sticky mess like insulation tape does.

fla 9 Posted December 14, 2009 I've bought some self amalgamating tape from Maplins. Never used it before is it supposed to be non adhesive? And do you stretch it hard over the wires(this is how i've used it but it doenst look very neat)? How is it meant to stay in place? Do you use some adhesive with it? Although be self amalgamating i assume it should 'melt' into itself?
waynos 0 Posted December 14, 2009 you need to stretch it and wrap it by over lapping it onto itself , it will stick to itself.be patient and it will look factory.the other option is to use convoluted tubing
robrado974 1 Posted December 14, 2009 convoluted tubeing ? is that what i was on about?
waynos 0 Posted December 14, 2009 its not like the plumbing stuff you mentioned. its like a flexible plastic sleeve.you see it in some of the newer cars. have a look on ebay, im sure they do it
