Thanks for the pics of oil cooler - I'm being tight and don't want to buy new hoses so I'll just see where it fits and mount it where ever :lol:

 

LOL no worries fella, I only had to buy one new hose because i used the longest hose from the old set up as the shortest hose on the new set up - if that makes sense :D

 

Oh, cheers for the your help with the info on the O2J shift tower swap... since doing that conversion to mine the gear selection feels so much better!

De-blinged 600x300x65 Ebay intercooler, bar and plate design.

Peloquin diff, changed to 3.3fd , it would only do about 160 on the old 3.68.

Vibratechnics rear engine mount, machined down in height -15mm to make engine sit level in the bay.

No I haven't painted the block. It's a Boat Anchor = rusty iron.

The kid in me says "screamer", but with track days/noise limits it better get plumbed into the DP.

If you scream, make sure it dumps into the car's slipstream or you could end up with carbon monoxide poisoning.

 

I've seen some people with screamer pipes that just vent under the car :cuckoo:

 

Needs to side exit, or go to the back of the car to tailpipe level. Some folk use moped silencers if noise is an issue :D

 

HGP stuff is expensive, but it's probably the best quality kit out there. Their sister company HPA make some seriously horny 24V turbo kit.

what will the 3.3fd max out at if the 3.68 only does about 160mph

 

175 ish on paper @ 7000rpm....but a taller 5th can be fitted to extend it further.

Haven't made much progress with this lately - have got a mk3 GTI as daily driver and been to the 'ring in it with fellow baldie PhatVR6 to get my 'ring fix' :lol:

Need to get all the boost pipework and plumbing done then we'll be getting somewhere.

this car is awesome never read the thread before , shite loads of work gone into the develpoment of the car hats off to you!

 

been past the ring and hockingheim but never been on them (didnt have the balls ) always a bit scared of totalling the motor and i did need it to get home lol

 

done a few days at castle coombe but my car just wasnt set up for it (yeah right) (thats what i like to think anyway cough)

i managed to cook my brembo 4 pots (they were fresh and red and new ish they ended up a nice burnt orange colour) warp my discs 325mm and ferrodo 2500 pads in just 2 sessions and £450 later i couldnt afford to do that more then once a year! thought i could drive until i did the track days! lol how wrong was i lol bit of a learning curve.... so diferent

 

never heard of a gt3582! lots read about the 3071 etc i ran a baby in comp gt28rs (disco potatoe) with a smaller ar .61 i too had the siemens 630cc inj always best to have slightly more than just adequate.. besides a bit of extra fuel adds to the cooling!!! lol

 

got any more recent pics of the car , interior etc?

Thanks! Interior : think 2xOMP seats and a roll cage, and that's it :lol:

 

GT35 is just like a GT30......... but bigger! - 4" intake :cuckoo: Turbo is capable of 600hp

thats is incredible... mental power... i was on the limit 371hp 412 ftlbs had a decent map not sure if it was going to be possible to make the magic 400 never tried past it tbh wish i never sold it ....lol

 

gvk motorsport is this an actual company then?
