Jay23Sx 0 Posted January 8, 2010 Hi Everyone, Anyone know if a Mk3 2.0 8V hub carrier would work on a early valver? I know the hub itself will be a 5 stud but it's the carrier I am most interested in. Cheers.

davidwort 0 Posted January 8, 2010 if you mean wheel bearing housing, then it's the same as an ABF (mk3 16v) and VR6 golf, which is the same again as a VR6 Corrado (all plus axle cars). If you mean brake carrier, then all mk3 GTI's switched to 288mm brakes from 280's on the first year or so of production, the early 280mm carriers being the same as G60/VR6 ones. Jay23Sx 0 Posted January 8, 2010 bit random but can i ask why? Because mine died (when wheel bearing colapsed) and it's a jolly expensive part new. Haven't had a response to my wanted ad, most people only want to sell it with the full hub and brake setup for about £50 and I've seen one much cheaper else where :)

Supercharged 2 Posted January 8, 2010 Yep, Plus axle only - main difference is the ball joint arrangement
