el_cappytan 0 Posted January 15, 2010 Does anyone know what the fuel Pressure should be on a 16v Pump?
aide 0 Posted January 15, 2010 its up at about 70psi, can't recall exactly
aide 0 Posted January 15, 2010 actually just thinking about this, the pump is capable of delivering .5gpm at 100psi, but pump/ fuel distributor line pressure should be around 70psi.... i think! and that said, pumps only create supply, restrictions in the system create the pressure :)
el_cappytan 0 Posted January 16, 2010 Well that does make sense!! I just need to check its still performing properly as i dont want to starve the new 20v of fuel before i've even driven it!! :D
aide 0 Posted January 16, 2010 20v injectors won't need that kind of pressure, no nothing about transplants, but would think you'd have to restrict the supply pressure to suit
CorradoVR6-Turbo 0 Posted January 16, 2010 its more about flow rather than pressure, but a standard valver fuel pumps are know to delever plenty of fuel upto 350hp mark but dont quote me on that. 20vt will be 3-3.5 bar at the rail.
el_cappytan 0 Posted January 17, 2010 Well that definately helps!! thanks guys
paddy26 3 Posted January 27, 2012 I'm bumping this thread instead of starting another one. Are the figures quoted above for the intank fuel pump + the inline pump? Does anyone know if the intank pump will supply a 20vt with enough flow/pressure without the inline pump? I'm removing the inline pump and need to know what intank pump i can use. cheers, Paddy
