tez180 0 Posted January 19, 2010 Hello, Going to be giving my 2.08Valve 'rado as good going over this week. •Oils-gearbox-engine •Oil filter •Fuel filter •Brake disks and pads all round. (what brand? or just any good soilid disk?) •Spark plugs (again any certain type to get?? - sorry I have no books to refer too) •G12 coolant - flush and replace •Might change my HT leads too as they look shabby •Air filter (genuine or just go aftermarket?) Also are there any little things I could order so I have it ready to replace? like certain bushes that are likely to be worn..I know I will need to look. And any things i should defiantly check over while under her? The gear stick is extremely slack between gears, just needs the plains adjusting? as per the info on this site? Also going to change my rocker gasket as it weeps, anything i could look at while im in there? Cheers And sorry for the Q's :D Tez

steveo29 0 Posted January 19, 2010 id just go with discs from gsf , theyre well priced , get the plugs there too gearlinkage...plenty of info in the drivetrain section airfilter...standard ones are fine you could also consider rotor arm and dizzy cap has it any history of cam belt or aux belt? rocker swap..nothing much else in that area , you could take a look at the fuel hoses for cracking and leaks and clean out the isv , theyre both in the same area bushes...theyre probably all well worn now , depends if you can afford to replace them all or just leave it until they knock or fail the mot
