rado shocks, same part numbers for entire range?

possibly a stupid question but are the shock absorbers the same across the corrado range. my instinct tells me no as the vr in particular is heavier but worth a shot.

 

there's a valver in my local scrappy and with the possibility of having to sell my vr and many people liking the standard standard setup (providing they're in good nick) would be a nice find.

springs and shocks changed from year to year with modifications VW made, although VR's do share dampers with 2L 8v and 2L 16v cars.

Most springs are shared too, although there are some VR specific ones.

might be best to check with vw on the year and model just to be sure. thanks for the info.
