Topaz2008 0 Posted February 19, 2010 Is it worth changing the standard ignition coil for an aftermarket one, if so which one? Also what are the best HT leads to fit, 8mm, Splitfire twin wire?? The car runs fine but I am always trying to improve things :D
Supercharged 2 Posted February 19, 2010 No point, just stick to genuine (normally Bosch) stuff - lasts and takes the heat well!
junkie 0 Posted February 19, 2010 After having my car on the rollers to sort an ignition issue out it was deemed the plugs leads were upto the job. The coil was replaced with a wasted spark set up and that cured it but this is on aftermarket management and 300bhp engine. As supercharged said stick with the original. Only benefit is looks with the leads. In total the tuner tried loads of different combos of leads plugs and coils and they were all almost identical performance wise.
