mattboyslim 0 Posted March 28, 2010 I've recently developed a problem where the clock and trip computer reset after taking the key out. The cig lighter has stopped working too. Could this be a fuse issue? If so which fuse should I investigate?
Supercharged 2 Posted March 29, 2010 Yep, will be a fuse - they change depending on year so just check them all.
mikkijayne 0 Posted March 31, 2010 Could also be the ignition switch. Mine does the same thing when switching it on sometimes. I need to swap the switch out at the weekend cos its beginning to bug me!
fla 9 Posted April 1, 2010 perhaps an aside, but my friend has a mk 3 and his clocks (the odometer) reset back to 00000! I suggested replacing the voltage reg although i didnt expct much from it and sure enough made no difference. Good to see zero miles though! Anyway, he's had his recalibrated for about £40 which i think is quite a lot considering its only a short job. What would have caused this?
mattboyslim 0 Posted April 1, 2010 Well, I've had the fuse board cover off and looked at the fuses on the front of the board. Doesn't appear to be any of those. How do I get the board out to look at the ones behind?
