new nuts and bolts

puuting my engine bay back togeather I thought about using new nuts and bolts because some look knackered and its would be best to have them all matching and I lost a few :wave: :camp: I was looking at nylock nuts for manifolds etc, is it worth buying from vag? or will any do as long long as they are the same.

 

what do you suggest, I also need bolts for the rad support to bolt onto the front crossmember so the engine doesnt need to be on an axle stand anymore 8)

Most VW items are standard metric threads, so it's just a case of measuring up :)

you want the copper nuts for a mainifold , theyre like 20-30p at the dealers

 

for the rest go for stainless unless its a high tensile bolt like brakes /suspension
