in tank pump

Recommended Posts

afternoon,

Sorry if this has been asked, i dont really have a lot of time to search :) .

My in tank pump is knackered, in the meantime of getting a replacement, can i remove the intake pump and replace with a fuel hose, reason for asking is that the main pump is whirring, resulting in the car not revving the fuel range.

Cheers

Sean

the in tank pump also seals up the tank (it's a BIIIGGG hole in the top of the tank!) and acts as the pick up pipe to the bottom of the tank.... As far as I can see the only way to do it would to be replace the pump with another pump... :?

i was going to keep the main part there put remove the pump it self.

Just a thought to lessen the strain to the main pump
