g60 blue temp sensor

has anyone got the part number for a G60 blue temp sensor?

 

and does anyone know how much they are from VAG?

 

are they easy to change?

Mine was £18 ish, but I dont know the part number but VW found it fine without one its really easy to change, just dont try re fitting it without taking out the old o ring like I did :epicfail:

yea dont know part number. but change in less than a minute. takes longer to get the bonnet up.

excellent, will loads of coolant piss out when I remove it?

 

Im thinkng, would the blue temp sender be the same for all four cylinder cars, i.e 16v corrados, 8v golf gtis etc?

make sure the engine is cold when you change it so you don't scald youself! Remove the expansion tank cap first to depressure the system first, then flick out the retaining clip on the old one, twist the old BTS to break the seal, pull out the old BTS out, and quickly put in the new one with new rubber O ring already fitted... be aware, you may have to fish out the old rubber O ring as they have a nasty habit of staying in the housing rather than coming out with the old BTS... you should loose prcatically no water if you do it this way... 8)
