I know what you mean it can be difficult...

I took mine out to change a fuse a few weeks back and after several attempt...gave up and put the fusebox cover box in the back of the boot until today when I did the headlight switch fuse mod. I decided to put the fuse cover back on.

It was a lot easier this time round with sun shining where I can see where things are going. Push the seats right back so that you have more space..If you have an adjustable steering column tilt it all the way up.

I stuck my head right under the dash and and get the back of the fuse box cover as far back as I could....Make sure non of the fluffy insulation stuff is catching on the fuses itself.

Once you got the fuse cover roughly in place just make sure both of the fuse cover "arms" go into their designated slots at the back. Push up from under the fuse cover to feed it in.

Having the button clips really help to align things properly also

Good luck !!!

Yeh, it's all about those arms- especially the one on the right. Get a torch and shine it in through the gap at the top as you fit the shelf. You can then see exactly where the arm goes. Make sure the back bit of the shelf slides into the black plastic 'holder'. This is just pushed onto a small metal mount just to the right of the pedals.

Drop _Andy_ a pm re: clips ;)
