V33DUB 0 Posted August 3, 2010 Hi! Clutch has started to make a metalic 'clunk' noise when lifted off. Used to happen between first and second when changing vigorously but has turned into every change and only doesn't do it when changed really really carefully / slowly. I've read through the forums but there are so many things to do with clutches I'm a little lost!! I'm thinking either new clutch or gearbox mounts? davidwort 0 Posted August 3, 2010 does it do it with the car stationary/not in gear? does sound more like the clutch, funnily enough I'm going to be doing my 8v clutch in a few weeks, very heavy and juddery, either worn right down and/or contaminated friction plate.
