1993 9a 16v rado 256 to 280 brakes

just a quick question ....do i need calipers and carriers to do this conversion same as doing on a mk2 golf?????? and will swapping from 256 to 280 affect abs????

Yep, you need both plus the splash shields - won't affect ABS as master cylinders are the same size because the piston size of the calliper is the same - 54mm

You'll cook the ABS with track use, it's not designed for lots of repeated heavy braking.

seriously the abs wont hold out on track??????.....bollocks....that leaves tricky as will require abs to work for m.o.t as car will be staying road legal as well....suggestions for away round this please?????????

 

 

(((this is maybe why im a mk2 16v man less hassel))
