Album56 0 Posted November 10, 2010 Always thought my G60 was completely standard, as I bought it one year old from a dealer in 93. It always has been quite lively but I thought it was just a good example of a stock car. Recently however whiltst trying to fix an idle problem I have found that there were some quite subtle mods carried out in the 1st year of its life. The ISV has a vacuum non return valve in the pipe to the the boost return effectively stopping the ISV from dumping boost & I have today cracked open the ECU to find a BBR 7246 MD2 G60-346 3/93 chip in there? Not sure wether the charger pulley is standard size now, I always assumed it was. Found BBR on the web in Northampton maybe I'll give them a ring to see if they can throw any light on the mods although 93 is a while ago. coolrado 0 Posted November 10, 2010 you should be able to tell if the pulley is standard or not, the stock pulley is pressed steel and usually painted black, most non standard pulleys are machined aluminium, and either bare aluminium or anodised. Its worth knowing if you have a smaller pulley as it ruduces the service interval of the charger (quite dramatically if its a really small pulley  ) A friend of mine used to have a polo G40 which had a different chip but a standard pulley, but im not sure if the same sort of thing was available for the G60. Album56 0 Posted November 10, 2010 Yes I suppose it might have been chipped without a charger pulley change but having said that I think it is a cast alloy pulley which if what you say is true then it probably has been changed aswell. It certainly isnt steel painted black. I have e-mailed BBR to see what they can tell me about the mods. Mick
