leese1984 0 Posted January 5, 2011 i have a 1992 reg 1.8 corrado, my new baby, the car is mint except it seems really sluggish untill you get to 40mph then it shifts. its just had a service by myself, no oil leaks. its had a vr6 exhaust fitted to it just wondering if that could be causing the problem. [

Supercharged 2 Posted January 5, 2011 Could well be the exhaust but could also be fueling, injectors - loads of things Have you checked timing - both static and ignition?

Alex_G60_Fanatic 0 Posted January 6, 2011 When you say 40mph... is that in any gear? or do you mean before a certain rev range?
leese1984 0 Posted January 6, 2011 thats in third. just done the timing today seems to have sorted that out. felt a sting in my wallet when i saw an oil leak. luck for me it was only the o ring in the dizzy cap cheap fix as i already had a nice selection of o rings at work.
