Earth strap

Hi all

Nearly finished putting back together the car with the dizzy VR6 now.

I have an earth strap from the top right of the rocker cover. I cannot for love nor money recall where the other end goes ?

Is it somewhere near the coil ?

if it's flat and thin, something like an old VHS cassette, then it should go to one of the ignition coil mounting bracket's bolt.

thats why I hadn't attatched it. :eek: Sense said thats where it came from, but having swapped the loom etc from coil pack to dizzy the coil was new in the car

that's said to be better replaced by a thick wire going from the head to the battery negative

job done. Started first time after putting the strap back on, after a little scratchy paint work :clap: :clap:
