harryc 0 Posted March 8, 2011 So one set is just thicker than the other?
GlosterOx 0 Posted March 8, 2011 According to VW Spares for 1989-1993 cars up to Chassis No. 50-P-009000 they are 15mm thick and later cars are 17mm thick. Ian.
stevef182 0 Posted March 8, 2011 Just seems strange that the thicker ones are cheaper? So my rado is 1993 - 15mm or 17mm? Or do I just need to check the chassis number?
CazzaVR 0 Posted March 8, 2011 Best check the chassis no to be sure where the cutoff was, Steve. Mine has the 17mm ones, but it's a 1996. Would think yours should be 15mm though.

Hello mate, howz things? On my way home the noise almost stopped, completely. All i can hear now is a very light grazing noise, even with both windows open, so i got the car into the garage and got some light on the situation and all pads, front and rear have plenty of life left. I can only imagine a small stone or similar got in somehow and has now worked its way out.
CazzaVR 0 Posted March 8, 2011 Not bad thanks, mate. You OK? Sounds like it's sorted itself- always nice when that happens- doesn't happen often enough though!
somersetdub 0 Posted March 8, 2011 I'm thinking maybe the late corrados had mk3 calipers and the early ones had mk2? I'm using mk4 calipers and mk3 pads.
