James. 9 Posted March 28, 2011 (edited) Started striping back all the untreated metal components in the engine bay of their years of rust/corrosion/oil and grime. There's parts that I have cleaned up but I'm not happy with the finish (see image enclosed): I was considering painting the parts (Manifold, gear box, rocker cover, alt, brackets etc) as I don't want to be having to take all the engine bay apart again any time soon. Or am I missing a trick about maintaining them. Constructive suggestions welcome as always NB: I would like the parts to be as close to new looking as possible. So no polished bits.
