swiftkid 1 Posted June 16, 2011 Try Using the search function http://www.opieoils.co.uk/product-finder.aspx?CategoryID=1097&SEName=ngk-spark-plugs#results CODE: BKR5EKU NOTE: GAP (mm): X Add Info: 190bhp / 140kW VR6
neuon2003 0 Posted June 16, 2011 If you use the Opie product search function for "BKR5E" you get the 4 results in post #1, but not BKR5EKU funnily enough. I think the BKR5EKU is the long-lfe super expensive twin electrode platinum one? The vanilla NGK BKR5E is the plug routinely recommended on the Forum (e.g. see http://the-corrado.net/showthread.php?51329-VR6-Oil-amp-Spark-plugs ). But which of the 4 designations is the correct one?
fendervg 32 Posted June 16, 2011 Normal one is fine - I run them - you can get them in Halfrauds easily enough as well as they are used on some Jap jallopies as well.
iR6 0 Posted June 16, 2011 Sorry Mr Opie :( My vr has always used BKR5EKU. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=250408772145&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT#ht_2322wt_907
neuon2003 0 Posted June 17, 2011 Many thanks for the replies. You know, before I owned a Corrado I was an automotive ignoramus and life was easy. I once changed some brake lines on a Mk1 Escort in 1983, but that was about it. Now, with Corrado ownership, everyday is a learning experience. Plastic welding, spare part obsolescence and substitution, paintwork correction and polishing, electrolytic rust removal, automotive rust prevention, sparkplug technology, brake fluid and oil specification and not forgetting, investments, loans and remortgaging. The owners of cars who just put fuel in do not know what they are missing .
