dannyboy 0 Posted July 22, 2011 Yeah the gearbox mount on VR is the same shape as the rear engine mount.Four cylinders have different rear engine mount as it sits in a v-groove rather than cylinder shaped mount
rolex 0 Posted July 23, 2011 so could you use vr wishbones with 16v subframe and have wide track?
Erny 0 Posted July 23, 2011 Wishbone mountings n steering rack mounts are all the same, you'll need more n just vr wishbones to widen your track, you will also need vr hubs and arb and steering rack, which means you will also be changing to five stud, so you'll also want the vr rear stubs. Along with a change of wheels, and your front brakes need to be considered also as these will now be 5stud. In goin wide track you also gain a few degrees castor which is rarely a bad thing.
