Album56 0 Posted August 1, 2011 I hope this isnt tempting fate but my 92 G60 is really running well at the moment, has had new plugs & new dizzy in the last year, I did the plugs (Bosch W6DPOs) & my local VW specialist did the dizzy (I couldnt shift the clamp bolt) & re-timed her perfectly. Man at garage said dizzy on PG motor is usually seized in place even after the clamp bolt is shifted & then getting the new dizzy to engage skew gear 1st & then the oil pump drive can be a bit tricky so I was glad to pay him for that grief. Recently she really is pulling well & I have noticed a sporty rasp from the completely standard (cat etc) exhaust when booting her thro the gears. The only non-standard bits are 68mm pulley & BBR chip & a non return valve to stop the ISV dumping boost. I have run her exclusively on Optimax/V power for years & the pulley/chip etc were fitted in 93. I have recently been thro & checked all the sensors/loom/ECU & used contact cleaner on all plug/sockets, made sure earths are good etc & all this seems to have paid dividends. 150k miles & running better than ever, oil & coolant tight after cam seal & flange replacements over the years.
