Stonejag 10 Posted September 16, 2011 Quick as possible please, mine's snapped and it's due in the garage on Tuesday... (for a late spec VR6) Cash waiting! :thumbleft:
GlosterOx 0 Posted September 17, 2011 The cable is still available from the dealers, they last for years so probably better to replace with new? - Do you definitely need the handle as well as they are not normally the problem, usually the clip breaks and that comes with the cable? Stonejag 10 Posted September 17, 2011 (edited) Top tip! Didn't know which bits would still be available (it's just the clip that broke, immediately after the driver's side catch failed to release...) Probably best to fix it all at once, though I'd be pretty upset if I only needed the clip and had to buy a whole cable to get one! Is it Corrado specific or do I have to use one of the Golf ones? CazzaVR 0 Posted September 17, 2011 Corrado specific. Worth replacing the fittings (called nipples!) as well. These are cheap and I think they're still available. Get the bulkhead grommet too- think it's been upgraded to the MKV part now, which fits perfectly.
