thegrouch 10 Posted November 3, 2011 Am looking to replace the coolant reservoir on my vr, was sure I'd seen somewhere about fitting one from a mk4 but cant seem to find anything on it now. Anyone know anything about it benefits, drawbacks which model to use? Any help greatly apreciated cheers!
VR6Joni 0 Posted November 3, 2011 The cap comes off much easier, it's the click lock type. However you do need to trim the overflow pipe and slot the holes a bit.
thegrouch 10 Posted November 3, 2011 Haha is that all? Reckon I'll stick with the original! Thanks for replying.
quicky1980 0 Posted November 3, 2011 you also need the mk4 plug and a means to splice into the rados wires
8vMatt 1 Posted November 3, 2011 you also need the mk4 plug and a means to splice into the rados wires No need to splice the wires, if you use a small screwdriver, you can pull out the ends of the wire from the plug and insert into the mk4 plug. It works cus thats what I did. The reseroir looks a lot tidier as the old Corrado one looks all brown and manky after all these years.
fla 9 Posted November 3, 2011 where's the thread for this again? I'm no good with the new search system :(
thegrouch 10 Posted November 4, 2011 That's what I was looking for but couldn't find it either. Don't really think I want to be messing with the wiring, was going to buy a brand new corrado 1 anyway so it sounds like that's prob the easiest option
