coullstar 0 Posted November 18, 2011 Ive got my cams and will hopefully be swapping them this weekend however I cant find the torque and sequence that the cam caps need to be torqued to. Can anybody tell me please.
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted November 18, 2011 Google - "VR6 cam tightening sequence" :D http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?3885993-Camshaft-caps-torque-sequence-specs-for-Jetta-VR6
aide 0 Posted November 18, 2011 don't think theres a sequence as such, you just need to tighten them all progressively so you don't stress the cam too much. torque is somethink like 15lb so its a small wrench job, but tbh i go more by 'feel' for cam caps, firm without being over tight - that probably doesn't help at all does it! edit - i was wrong then lol
