DriverVR6 11 Posted March 14, 2012 This may help owners of VR6's. A friend of mine just broke his HT lead as he was trying to pull it off the spark plug. What he didn't realise is that the tool to remove the leads from the spark plugs is in the "tool box" provided by VW. If you still have the original wheel changing jack then you will find the tool on the jack raising wrench. It looks like a black plastic pipe/sleeve. Sorry, can't put a picture up until I get a new camera. Hope this is of help, and avoids broken HT leads.
Stonejag 10 Posted March 14, 2012 It should be attached to the bonnet prop, that's what the bent section in the middle is for. They tend to fall off and get lost so I guess someone tidied his away :)
DriverVR6 11 Posted March 14, 2012 Stonejag, yes that's what I thought as I read that somewhere...but mine is also kept in the jack tool case, it fits perfectly on the jack spanner and into the carry case. Guess it doesn't matter as long as you have it.

Tigerfish 10 Posted October 22, 2012 (edited) this is a pretty good (and cheap) alternative. I have one and it does what it says on the tin http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VW-VR6-SPARK-PLUG-LEAD-REMOVAL-TOOL-/190514479332?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item2c5b8c40e4 Edited October 22, 2012 by Tigerfish
