dumptyboy 0 Posted May 22, 2012 Has the immobiliser been disturbed possibly? Have you checked that all the relays on the fuse board are pushed fully into place, aswell as checking all fuses?
vw_john 10 Posted May 22, 2012 There is no immobilizer. Well there is the remnants of one, but I left it alone, although I have given it a good poking before but it seems deactivated. all the relays are fully in and I have only checked the fuel rail fuse didn't think the others would matter much. I swear this car is cursed!
seanl82 23 Posted May 22, 2012 I shagged my immobiliser when changing my matrix cos i got it wet. It stated but the radio wouldnt switch on, then the windows wouldnt work, then it wouldnt start. I'd completely remove it if I were u for peace of mind anyway. pull a spark plug and earth it on the block. crank the car over to see if it sparks. I did all this, changed fuel pump relay and ignition switch before going for the immobiliser. Hope this helps mate.
vw_john 10 Posted May 23, 2012 Thanks for your help guys, turns out I had knocked off the live wire to the coilpack whilst trying to remove the pipes engine bay side! :brickwall: haha. Oh well, no harm done!
