Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 18, 2012 Yes, just gone back to phone to come on here and mention it. Computer totally freezes up sometimes. Is unusable now on laptop. Rest of internet is ok though. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 18, 2012 What browsers are you using? Works fine for me on IE8 :D I think it's bit buggy with IE9. For instance, when editing a post, when you go to save the changes, hitting 'save' does nothing what so ever. Have to reload the page. Not had any issues with Firefox. 24V Renshaw 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Have you got tapatalk running on an iPad or iPhone? Mine has been really bad at times on IE, but when I switch off tapatalk properly it seems ok.... Jay
Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 18, 2012 Thought that was my problem so uninstalled tapatalk and still get the problem. I have just had to have windows reinstalled after a virus so could be a setting needs setting. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
24V Renshaw 0 Posted June 18, 2012 I havent tried much as I tend to always be on the iPad, but something is definitely up with the site as a few people are having the problem now....
Kevin Bacon 5 Posted June 18, 2012 You guys browse the forum on mobile devices!?! Sod that. I can't surf without a proper keyboard and screen.
Supercharged 2 Posted June 18, 2012 I think it's the adverts... from home it's awful for me as it's loading up banner adds - from work it's much better as they're all blocked. I'll speak to Andi when I get chance
robo22sri 10 Posted June 18, 2012 You guys browse the forum on mobile devices!?! Sod that. I can't surf without a proper keyboard and screen. Tapa talk is great :) It's just like texting on your phone
Jim Bowen 1 Posted June 18, 2012 Yeah I am a bit suspicious of the adverts causing problems. I much prefer a keyboard and mouse. Is agony typing on this phone touch screen one fingered. Also struggle to link pics on phone. Sent from my X10i using Tapatalk
RW1 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Had this problem.... for a while.... traced it to the virus checcker after its last major update last month. AVG set the last download to have Resident Sheild set with "set thorough scannig". With AVG it affects all browsers no matter what creed or colour. If you use AVG, knock off "set thorough scanning", only needed for corporate PCs. Its scanning, for example, for old viruses and exploits of operating system or browser flaws that have long been fixed, etc. This mode makes heavy demands on system resources and slows the PC down until the browser declares the www is running too slow! Hence the hang ups. Other virus checkers may be doing the same in similar settings. .
CazzaVR 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Mine hangs all the time- been doing it for at least a couple of weeks. Can't work out why- not the anti virus or tapatalk :(

beastie4126 0 Posted June 18, 2012 Noticed that it seems to have some link to the adds at the top of the page not populating or at least looks that way.

CazzaVR 0 Posted June 21, 2012 Still have a prob mate! It takes several attempts to be able to use the site. It freezes 3-4 times, I have to close IE and reopen every time. On the 4th/5th time it works OK. Weird!
