robo22sri 10 Posted July 13, 2012 You dont need to remove the engine ;) Just get the gear box off
fla 9 Posted July 13, 2012 It will be MUCH easier with the engine out plus you can probably attend to other things that may ahve cropped up that you couldnt normally do with the engine in place. Make sure you change the crank seal when you do the chains though.
MattPc 0 Posted July 13, 2012 when the wiki is back up and running, in the drivetrain section there is a step by step guide and parts list of how to carry out the chain replacement. Matt
Harrier 1 Posted July 13, 2012 couple of hours to remove g'box.lot longer to remove engine ,box out makes more sense to me.
LRWMotorsport 10 Posted July 14, 2012 If you have access to engine crane easiest option is to whip the engine and g/box out together. If you don't box out is the way forward.
DriverVR6 11 Posted July 14, 2012 Best way is defo with the engine and gearbox out. It takes a little longer, but you can do a much better overall job without having to struggle and lean over into the engine bay.
