Johnny H 0 Posted August 6, 2012 Hay guys. Been thinking about the Corrado as you do and thought it would be sweet to have it supercharged. I was just wondering:- What do you need? How much money do they cost?? How hard are they to fit? And do you need to do anything else to the car before fitting one?? It's not something I can do just now but thought I would found out abit about them from guys with them. Thanks for your time. Johnny
VR6 0 Posted August 6, 2012 You can probably pick up a second hand Vortech kit (stage II) for around £1,500 if you're lucky. Should include, amongst other things, larger injectors but there's not much you need to do other than fit it, which will probably take a couple of days if it's your first time. If you find something 2nd hand, check it includes everything. If it does, it's not too complicated. Even better if you can get the sump already punched/tapped. That's based on my knowledge of the Vortech kit, there could be better options these days.
captainredeye 0 Posted August 6, 2012 can't you get supercharger with there own oil supply so there's no need to tap into the sump? sure I have seen it some where
robo22sri 10 Posted August 6, 2012 Odb2 makes a big difference for force induction due to alot of places not mapping the odb1 setup anymore :(
